‘For me as a human being, doing this seva just to serve humanity, for self satisfaction. To fulfill the duties towards society. I feel whilst I am doing this seva, I am doing a good deed in a day.
‘ I find the whole experience of seva and the preparation of langar in the gurdwara, a very peaceful and gratifying experience, whilst at the same time fulfilling my duty as a Sikh and following Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings to feed and serve he hungry and needy.’
I partake in SEVA Scotland because I enjoy working with people in my community and it gives me a great sense of satisfaction knowing that I have served those in need
To serve all regardless of race or faith’
‘ I am doing this because I always wanted to volunteer my time heling others without any benefit to myself. I have been helping others for years but these people are more in need. I get satisfaction from the work, even if I’m just helping one person, that’s all it takes to make a difference’.
